The Next Step in Roadway Detection. Safety and Related Metrics: LiDAR Detection at Signalized Intersections
Presenter: Matt Bretoi, Director of Sales
U.S. streets have historically prioritized cars over pedestrians andcyclists which is our Vulnerable Road Users (VRUs). Traditionaldetection technologies often fail to accommodate VRUs, especiallyin low visibility conditions.LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) is a groundbreaking technologythat detects vehicles and tracks VRUs in real-time, providing criticalsafety metrics like red-light running and jaywalking.Join this session to discover how LiDAR can enhance VRU safety andtransform our roadways!
