While the coronavirus has not yet been eradicated, there have been many lessons learned regarding transportation during COVID that can be applied as we return to taking trips regularly. These lessons learned include travelers taking advantage of more active modes like bike sharing, and seeking more real-time information about public transit, such as how crowded the next transit vehicles is, when it was cleaned, whether or not there are any local rules (e.g., masks are required on public transit), and when the next vehicle(s) on that route with available seating will arrive (particularly if the traveler wants to wait for the next vehicle if the current one is too crowded).

In this webinar, we will hear from two experts in multimodal transportation: Scott Shepard, who is Vice President Global Public Sector for Iomob – The Internet of Mobility, and Phil Jones, who is Senior Director of Government Relations for Lime. Scott will be discussing the innovations that have been put in place to assist travelers in ensuring that their journey is safe. Phil will discuss how Lime adapted and was able to handle increases in the use of their bike sharing systems. Once we have brief presentations from our speakers, we will engage with webinar participants to answer questions and further discuss the importance of multimodal travel now and in the future.
